Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What happens on Sunday mornings?
Worship services are at 8:00 and 10:30 AM. Most people arrive about 10 minutes early.
Family Bible Hour is at 9:15 AM, starting with everyone in church for family singing. Children then head to Sunday School while adults explore Scriptural topics and the Christian faith. We conclude before 10:15 AM.

  2. Is there a "Wiggle" Room?
Whether a mother needs to nurse her baby or a child is having a rambunctious morning, we know that there are times when a parent needs to have a space where their child can be a little more active. We have a place set aside just for you.  If you don't see where it is, please ask!

  3. Who is welcome?
We welcome everyone! You'll meet people who have become members, as well as many visitors each week. We come from all different walks of life and ethnic backgrounds. It's wonderful how quickly people feel at home. Everone is cherished like family.

  4. What are the services like?
Services usually run for about an hour. You'll hear timely messages directly from the Bible, sing meaningful hymns and spiritual songs, be comforted by God's promises, and be blessed by growing together with God's people. Consider watching one of our
YouTube worship services if you would like to know more before you come!

  5. Do children attend worship?
Yes, they do—and we love welcoming them! Matthew 19:14 says, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We encourage them to be in the sanctuary during worship as part of our family! Pastor regularly shares a children's sermon where the they are invited to the front to participate.

  6. How can I become a member?
Pastor regularly teaches a class where he shares what the Bible teaches and why we believe what we do. Please contact Pastor for more information.

  7. What should I wear?
Please "come as you are." You'll see that some people dress up while others come in comfortable and respectable clothes.

  8. Is Shepherd of the Hills for us?
The simple answer is "come and see"—we're saving a spot for you!
Many new people have joined in and found a home with our family. It is a wonderful thing to gather with people who care about you and share the same Christian beliefs and values. We grow together and "share one another's burdens." We all look to the love of Jesus for help, health, and purpose in life. We believe that you'll feel welcome and loved from the minute you walk in the door . . . but there's only one way to find out!
